"Sings of Stars"

It was all that quiet, open-ended time and it
Would have made me uneasy if I'd been myself that night
I was somebody else in somebody else's life and now
The only survivor in an unsuspecting crowd

They were right, happy comes
I won't fight it, it comes too easy sometimes
But it tripped me up, slowed me down
That in the end, the end comes round

You were right to fight, I was round to doubt
Demons crept inside, pushed my courage out
Now I'm left with lonely, overwhelming love
It was for you, now there's too much

We are going at this blindly, like we do everything else
Its the hours that make me weak again, the minutes turn to self
I'm wanting to start over. I imagine I am shamed
If I could see they don't see failure, would I let them in again

No other choice but to be thankful for my heartache
So I'm the lucky one to understand what love is
I don't believe it. They don't believe that
And when she sings about the stars, I think she sings of you
And when she's grown will I have grown away from losing

And when she sings about the stars, I think she sings of you
And when she sings about the stars

And when she sings about the stars, I think she sing of you
And when she sings about the stars
